Exploring North Wales

04th August 2025: A journey to North Wales with my Z8.

On Monday 4th August, 2025, I packed up the car with my camping gear for an overnight stay in Eryi / Snowdonia. Day 1 was mostly travelling, but I also managed to visit the Welsh coast - Barmouth. I then ventured to the national park, setup my tent and then headed back out again. I visited Anglesey and photographed the lighthouse at Tywyn Du, before heading South West and visiting Newborough beach - stunning!

Day 2 I visited Cwmorthin Quarry, following the suggestion given to me by Kyle McDougall (www.kylemcdougallphoto.com). The weather was adverse, but I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the landscape - the wind and rain and kept most people at bay, so I had the whole place to myself. The abandoned buildings were both rather melancholy and also a tad spooky!

I took a scenic journey home, the highlight of which was the road at Hafren Forest - definitely returning here again.
